Lane and the Greenleaf Center

Lane learned of the Robert K. Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership through his work with Men's Wearhouse. MW Chairman and CEO George Zimmer is an avid servant leader and promotes humanistic management principles at ever opportunity. It is through his association with VP Kirk Warren and George that Lane learned how the Greenleaf Center advocates servant leadership in the global business community.

Like George, Lane employed the principles of servant leadership long before learning of the Greenleaf Center. However, it is due to his association with the center, and some one-on-one mentoring from Larry Spears that Lane has polished these principles and more effectively incorporated them into his consulting practice. In Lane's own words:

The Greenleaf Center is the authority on humanistic management principles in the world. No other organization does as much to promote the ideals by which all businesses should guide themselves. I am proud to be Greenleaf Center Partner, and will support them for as long as I am in business.

To paraphrase Robert Greenleaf, I am a
servant first, servant always.

I urge you to visit the Greenleaf Center to learn about the philosophy they promote. Please consider becoming a Partner and helping support what I believe is the most important change in business management of our time.

Recently, Lane submitted an essay, Learning Servant Leadership from Native America - Again, for consideration for inclusion in an upcoming anthology of essays to be published by the center as the newest installment in their extensive library. "Larry is still pouring over hundreds of submission; no decisions have been made. I consider it an honor to be invited to submit. Other than that, I'm doing what everyone else is: biting their nails."
